In a battle of Northern 4A and Northern 3A powers, the Douglas High volleyball team swept to a 25-19, 25-16, 25-20 win at Yerington at Wednesday.
Jourdan Burke had eight kills, one point, three digs and five blocks, Shannon Dugan had six kills and five blocks, Jessica Waggoner had six kills, seven points, one assist, three aces and 12 blocks, Taryn Williams had six kills, eight points, two digs and two blocks, Christine DuPuis had four kills and one dig, Bryanna Schinzing had three kills, one dig and six blocks, Jamie Lorntzen had two kills and one block, Emily Garcia had one kill and two blocks, Jackie Harper had one kill, 11 assists, one ace, one dig and one block, Megan Mitchell had one kill, 10 points, one ace, 16 assists and three blocks. Mysta Townsell had 12 digs, one point and one assist, Rebecca Antti had four digs, three points and one assist, Jordan Marsh had four digs, six points and one ace and Mia Townsell had two points for Douglas (24-1).
Douglas (12-2) won the junior varsity match 22-25, 25-13, 17-15 and Douglas (9-3) won the freshmen match 25-21, 25-19.
