A single-engine plane crash near Woodfords has killed at least one person.
The aircraft was reported in distress to Alpine County authorities at about 11:05 a.m.
Alpine and Douglas county rescuers responded and canceled a response by CareFlight helicopter after determining whoever was in the aircraft was dead.
The report came in at 11:26 a.m.
Firefighters have reported finding one person in the aircraft.
