Don Denton, 80 years old, a resident of Carson City for 35 years, died Monday October 27, 2008 at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center of complications due to illness.
Don was born June 12, 1928 in La Yunta, Colo. to Jessie and Ralph Denton. Among his survivors are his wife of 58 years, Rosie, his five children Mary Ann Barron, Jeff Denton, Janet Colonna, Judy Zastre, and Jeannette Bonaldi together with their spouses all from the Carson City area. Don also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and their spouses along with 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Don became a resident of Carson City in 1973, moving from Van Nuys, Calif. with his family and opening Denton Manufacturing Company. He loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting and camping.
Don loved and lived life to the fullest and was loved, admired and respected by all who knew him.
There will be a viewing 5-7 p.m., Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. The Rosary and Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
