Day of the Dead Celebration

El Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, Nevada State Museum, 600 N. Carson Street. Crafts for all ages, sugar skulls, stories, dances, lecture, exhibits, and more. Co-sponsored by the Latino Parents Committee, Carson City Citizen Outreach, Nevada Hispanic Services, Carson City Library, City Cafe Bakery, the Nevada Appeal, and Western Nevada College. Time to register for Junior Ski/Snowboard Program

The Carson City Recreation Division is launching its annual Junior Ski/Snowboard Program. Registration will be 8:30-11:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Community Center, 851 E. William Street. The program is for children ages 9 to 18 years old. The program offers six Sundays of fun on the slopes, ski or snowboard instruction, and a no restrictions season pass to Diamond Peak. Cost is $280 with transportation included and $180 without. No November meeting for Retired Public Employees

The Carson City Chapter Retired Public Employees of Nevada will not meet in November. The next meeting will be Wednesday, Dec. 3 for the Christmas Party. For information, call 883-6334.
