The Carson High volleyball team struggled in another key Sierra League match, falling at Damonte Ranch 21-25, 16-25, 18-25 on Thursday.
Blaike King had 21 digs, six kills and one ace, Shannon Earwood had 25 assists, one ace and four kills, Mavil Diaz had 10 digs and one ace, Danae Eckart had nine digs and two aces, Cameo Lommori had 15 digs, Breanna Anderson had 10 digs and three kills, Nikki Keller had five kills and Alysse Virden added three kills and three blocks for Carson (2-2 in league).

Douglas (22-1, 4-0) swept past the Colts 25-10, 25-17, 25-11. The Tigers played without one of its top players in Jessica Waggoner, who was out of town, and also played mostly with reserves in the second and third games.

Douglas (11-1, 4-0) won the junior varsity match 25-10, 25-18 and the Tigers (7-3, 4-0) won the freshmen match 25-10, 25-21.
