GARDNERVILLE - A charge of statutory sexual seduction has been filed against Jeffery Alan Palmer, 40, of Gardnerville, jailed in California on allegations that he drove two teenage sisters to California and had sex with a 15-year-old.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash on the Douglas County charge filed Sept. 23.

It alleges that Palmer had sex with the Gardnerville Ranchos girl in Nevada before he agreed to drive them to Manteca, Calif.

He was arrested Aug. 18 in a motel in Manteca with the girls and a 16-year-old boy.

Palmer is in San Joaquin County Jail being held without bail.

In addition to the Douglas County offense, Palmer was charged in California with unlawful sexual intercourse, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, child abduction, lewd act upon a child and fugitive from justice.

His next court appearance in California is Tuesday.
