Carson City Health Department's food-service inspections for the week of March 23 (all scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations):

- Dotty's No. 45, 3305 Market St., No. 100, bar/lounge, scored 100 points.

- Pho Country, 2495 N. Carson St., restaurant, scored 98 points. Food contact surfaces of equipment or utensils are not clean.

- Red's Old 395 Grill, 1055 S. Carson St., restaurant, scored 98 points. The hand washing sink in the back room food preparation area was clogged with food debris and therefore not available for use.

- Red's Old 395 Grill, 1055 S. Carson St., bar/lounge, scored 98 points. Food contact surfaces of the speed gun and speed gun holster were not clean. They contained a debris build-up. This was corrected on the spot.

- Eagle Gas II, 1360 S. Carson St., convenience store, scored 97 points. A supply of soap and paper towels were not present at the toilet room sink. Cleaning and maintenance tools are not properly stored and maintained. The mop bucket was found with dirty water in it.

- Smith's Food & Drug, 599 E. William St., deli department, scored 100 points.

- Smith's Food & Drug, 599 E. William St., meat department, scored 99 points. Floors were not maintained in good repair. A coving tile at the entrance to the butcher shop was completely broken away leaving an area collecting debris.

- Grandma Hattie's, 2811 S. Carson St., restaurant, scored 93 points. Readily perishable cold food is held above 46F. The salad dressing in the under counter "salad refrigerator" was at 48F and was not being maintained at 40F or below. The refrigerator drawers under the cook line did not have a functional thermometer. Food contact surfaces of the knife found in the hanging metal storage box in the cooking area contained debris.

- Carson City Public Safety Complex, 885 E. Musser St., food facility fee exempt, Public Safety Complex Kitchen, scored 96 points. Various foods held cold between 45-50F. Doors on unit do not seal properly. May not have been shut after last use. Food contact surfaces of equipment or utensils are not clean. (Slicer - Repeat Violation)

- McDonalds No. 7890, 3905 S. Carson St., restaurant, scored 98 points. A supply of paper towels was not available at the kitchen hand wash sink.
