CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) " Georgia Tech recruit Derrick Favors scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the East past the West 113-110 in the boys McDonald's All-American game Wednesday night.

Dominic Cheek, who is headed to Villanova, and Pittsburgh recruit Dante Taylor each scored 15 points for the East, which leads the all-time series 18-14.

Oklahoma-bound Keith Gallon led all scorers with 20 points for the West. Avery Bradley, who is headed to Texas, added 15.

Xavier Henry, who has signed with Memphis, scored 14 points for the West, while DeMarcus Cousins, another coach John Calipari recruit, scored 14 points for the East.

With Calipari headed to Kentucky to take over the Wildcats, there has been speculation that the two prized recruits will try follow the coach.

Lance Stephenson threw an alley-oop to Favors with 41.7 seconds left to give the East a 111-110 edge.

Tommy Mason-Griffin, another future Sooner, missed a 3-pointer for the West and Favors slammed home another dunk. Mason Plumlee missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the East the victory.

The West led 63-55 at halftime, but the East opened the second half on an 8-0 run to erase the deficit.
