Metso Bobo, Scar Face Jim or Jim Lewers and a few more aliases, the Indian who has been serving six months in the county jail, flew the coop. He has been doing the chain gang act on the street for a few days and yesterday afternoon he dropped his tools and took to the woods. Officer Brule has oiled up his cannon and at the first meeting there will be a good Indian or else the gun will wise fire.

A list of candidates for trustee offices May 1st: First Ward, M.E. Norton; second ward, Oliver Pratt and Beverly Thomas; third ward, George Lind; trustee at large, two years, George Martin; trustee at large, four years, James Coleman. The only contest is for the second ward.

The Nevada prison board spent most of yesterday touring the prison facilities and an informal 15 minute "behind closed doors," "chewing the fat" meeting in the warden's office. Newsmen were admitted to the morning session of the prison board, but were denied access to the afternoon session.

The Carson City Nevada Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has donated a number of informational materials to local libraries explaining the faith.
