ATWATER, Calif. " Cody Barr tossed a complete-game 2-hitter to lead Carson High to a 5-1 win over Moreau in the first round of the 50th annual Atwater Lions Easter Baseball Tournament Monday afternoon.

The win moves Carson into the next round against Livingston today at 4 p.m.

"He threw real well," Carson coach Cody Farnworth said of Barr. "He got ahead in the count. He might work into the No. 3 guy."

Barr carried a no-hitter into the fourth. He fanned nine and walked five. Moreau didn't score until the seventh.

Carson tallied all of its runs in the third and fifth innings, scoring two in the third and three in the fifth.
