His father, William J. Lloyd and his older brother, Harold F. Lloyd, precede him in death.

A memorial service will be2 p.m., Sunday at Hope Community, 1445 S. Meadows Parkway, Reno, NV 89521.

Steve was born Jan. 27, 1960 at Sutter Memorial in Sacramento, Calif. As a child he lived in Sacramento, Reno, Winnemucca and Carson City. He grew up in Carson City, attending the majority of his schooling in Carson City, graduated from Randall-Moore High School in Denver, and received an AA degree in Horticulture from University of Nevada Reno.

Steve established Aircooled, Inc. in the Los Angeles area, sold Volkswagen parts and refurbished bugs and vans to their original quality, his passion. He also ran a vending business. In 2006 Steve relocated to the Reno/Sparks area to be closer to family. Steve dearly loved his family, never missing a family gathering and had a keen mind for politics, history, current events and business. He loved all kinds of music, his favorite being heavy metal, Metallica.

He was a kind, strong and independent man who fought a tough battle with pancreatic cancer, living longer than ever predicted by the medical community. In memory of Steve, donations can be made to either the American Cancer Society or Hope Community Church.
