Greg Farnsworth, 45, passed away April 21, 2009 in Carson City. Greg was born Feb. 19, 1964 in Longview Wash. to Chester and Evelyn Farnsworth.
He spent his childhood years in Cathlamet,Wash. He had recently moved to Reno from Stagecoach where he had lived for 4 years. Greg was a correctional officer for the Nevada Prison System in Carson City. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, riding dirt bikes, playing video games, camping and especially spending time with his family. He was so very proud to be a Dad.
His father, his brother, Stephen Farnsworth and his step-father, Farris Waterman, preceded Greg in death.
He will dearly missed by his loving wife, Darena Dunn of Reno. He also leaves behind three sons Michael Mitchell of San Diego, Calif. Matthew and Mackinzie Farnsworth, both of Reno and a daughter Linda Mitchell of Warner Robins, Ga.; brother, Marty Farnsworth and sister, Deanna Dachtler both of Kelso, Wash. and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A Memorial Service for Greg will be 1:30 p.m., today at Walton's Chapel in Carson City.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Memorial Fund for Greg Farnsworth at Greater Nevada Credit Union Acct. No. 899050.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley has been entrusted with his final arrangements.
