Man to be tried on child porn charges

A judge Friday determined there was enough evidence to try a Carson City man on three counts of possession of child pornography.

Kevin Richard Wilborn, 26, a South Reno restaurant manager, remains free on bail pending a May 4 arraignment in Carson City District Court.

According to court records, Wilborn's estranged wife called police in September after she allegedly found pornographic pictures involving juveniles on Wilborn's computer as she searched for tax records.

A deputy recovered the laptop and allegedly located 30 porn images.

"Two of the pictures included young girls that appeared to be no older than 10 years of age and in no way (did they) appear to be even close to 16 years of age," the police report states.

Wilborn denies knowing there were images of anyone under 18 on the computer.

Wilborn also allegedly told officers his neighbor used his computer.
