Bird identification classes offered

Lahontan Audubon Society offers a popular series of five classes in basic bird identification, 7-9 p.m., Tuesdays beginning May 12 at the Nevada Division of Wildlife, 1100 Valley Road, Reno. Take a tour of Carson River Watershed

The Carson Water Subconservancy District hosts a bus tour of the middle and lower Carson River Watershed from Carson City to the Stillwater Wildlife Refuge in Churchill, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Saturday, May 30. $40 registration fee if registering before May 6; $45 after this date. Cost includes lunch and snacks. Featured speakers will discuss topics such as the history of the Carson River and the Newlands Project. For information, call 887-7450.

Enjoy Victorian tea for Mother's Day

Wild Rose Inn invites mothers and daughters to a Victorian afternoon tea, 2-4 p.m., Sunday, May 10, 2332 Main Street, Genoa.
