Ivy Penrod, 74, a 40-year resident of Carson City passed away April 28, 2009 in Carson City.
She was born Jan. 30, 1935 in Balzan, Malta to Charles and Hilda Azzopardi. She married Sam Penrod Oct. 14, 1966. They shared a loving marriage for 43 years. Ivy was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed playing the slot machines and spending time with her two grandchildren, Chance and Maxwell.
Her mother, Hilda and father, Charles, preceded Ivy in death.
She is survived by her loving husband Sam of Carson City; daughter, Eileen of Carson City; stepdaughters Rhonda and Shelly of Reno; sister Dori of Santa Cruz, Calif. and her two grandchildren Chance and Maxwell.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital in her honor.
