Johnson graduates from basic training

Air National Guard Airman Michael G. Johnson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Johnson completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Johnson earned distinction as an honor graduate.

Johnson is the son of Leticia Johnson-Church of Carson City.

He graduated in 1995 from Carson City High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 2005 from the University of Nevada, Reno.

O'Neill graduates from basic training

Air Force Airman Philip M. O'Neill graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

O'Neill earned distinction as an honor graduate.

O'Neill is the son of Phil O'Neill of Carson City and Paula Kos of Dayton. He is a 2008 graduate of Carson High School.
