Richard Charles Mueller, 63, died July 30, 2009, in Carson City, Nev. Mr. Mueller was a Vietnam veteran, 1967-1969, in the 173rd Airborne Brigade. He was born Jan. 13, 1946, in Albuquerque, N.M. He was a resident of Carson City since 1992.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Madeleine Mueller. He is survived by his wife, Janice; sons, Richard Mueller and Patrick Mueller, of San Diego, Calif., and Tyson Mueller, of Sparks, Nev.; daughter, Christina Baylor, of Chico, Calif.; brother, Jim Ervien, of Winslow, Ariz.; sisters Loretta Stender of Gardnerville, Nev., and Linda Fitzgerald, of Carson City; Pamela Gonsalves, of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 31 at the State of Nevada Veterans Cemetery, 14 Veterans Way, Fernley, Nev., with a reception to follow.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Carson City, is in charge of arrangements.
