Obituary: Omer E. Flanders

Omer E. Flanders, 92, died Aug. 23, 2009, in Carson City. He was born Feb. 6, 1917, in Wellman, Iowa. He is survived by wife Irma Flanders; daughter Cheryl Martinez (Bob) of Sacramento; brother David Fladung (Mary) of Washington, Iowa; sisters Dorothy Sisk (Hollis) of Chesterfield, Mo., and Bertha Gretter (Robert) of Williamsburg, Iowa; and grandson Robert Martinez, Jr. of Sacramento. No service will be held. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is handling arrangements.
