Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• A 23-year-old welder from Carson City was arrested at 4:27 a.m. Sunday at Sherman Lane and Century Circle on suspicion of misdemeanor speeding and driving on a revoked license. Bail was set at $1,239.
• A 25-year-old retail employee from Carson City was arrested at 12:02 a.m. in the 1300 block of Como Street on suspicion of domestic battery and probation violation. Bail was set at $6,132.
• A 36-year-old machinist from Carson City was arrested at 9:40 p.m. Saturday at Roop and Proctor streets on suspicion of misdemeanor violation of bail conditions and possession of a hypodermic needle. Bail was set at $4,000.
• A 43-year-old unemployed Reno man was arrested at 12:32 a.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of defrauding an innkeeper. Bail was set at $297.
• Gabino Garcia-Tapia, 39, a landscaper from Carson City, was arrested at 8:14 p.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of Lompa Lane on suspicion of felony passing a check with insufficient funds, misdemeanor probation violation. No bail was set.
• Douglas Drake, 61, a retired truck driver from Fallon, was arrested at 5:06 a.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Airport Road on suspicion of felony probation violation for DUI, felony drunken driving, misdemeanor having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and failure to use a turn signal. No bail was set. Drake previously was convicted of felony DUI in 1996. He has had six DUI arrests since 1990, according to the arrest report.
• Jarrard Jacob, 21, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 8:53 p.m. Nov. 25 on suspicion of felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,632. Also arrested was Joshua Wade Baker, 26, of Carson City, on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,632. And a 20-year-old woman from Carson City was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,874.
• J.D. Powers, 38, a cashier form Carson City, was arrested at 3:58 p.m. Nov. 25 on suspicion of felony possession of an altered prescription, misdemeanor driving under the influence of a controlled substance and failure to use due care resulting in an accident. Bail was set at $3,774.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:
• Report of a silver 2001 Dodge Caravan with Nevada plate 707SNP stolen from the 2600 block of Table Rock Drive at 6:11 a.m.
• Residential burglary report on Bryan Circle at 10:24 a.m.
• A woman reported her credit card had been used twice since she last saw it, when she used it at a Red Box movie kiosk on Highway 50 East.
• A man reported his car was hit in the parking lot at Raley's at 3:02 p.m. Upon further questioning by police it was determined the caller lied about his car being hit, and that he instead hit a car in a Minden doctor's office parking lot and was trying to cover it up. Report taken.
• Residential burglary report on San Marcus Drive at 7:03 p.m.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:
• Report at 9:06 a.m. of a student possibly intoxicated at Fernley High School.
• Report of a man beating a woman in a ditch on Highway 50 East in Stagecoach at 4:16 p.m.
