GARDNERVILLE - The Nevada Highway Patrol said a Minden man has been identified as the victim of a fatal head-on crash south of Gardnerville this morning.
James A. Perry, 69, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on U.S. 395 just before 8 a.m.
According to the NHP, Perry's pickup crossed the center line and slammed into a northbound sport utility vehicle driven by Kenneth Ceglia, 43, of Gardnerville.
Ceglia was flown to a Reno hospital. The extend of his injuries was not immediately known.
The accident closed the highway in both directions for more than an hour.
