David John and the Comstock Cowboys will serenade two audiences with Western-style Christmas classics and new songs in their annual "Christmas in the Sierra" show at Piper's Opera House
The venerable Western band will perform two shows, at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at the opera house, 12 North B Street, Virginia City.
The band mixes Christmas songs cowboy-style with holiday originals and traditional carols. Children are invited at the end of the show to come up to the stage and sing with the band. Santa Claus will also be on hand for the children.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors (60-plus) and veterans, and $12 for children younger than 12.

On Dec. 19, "Christmas in the Sierra" with David John and the Comstock Cowboys heads to the historic Raycraft Dance Hall in Genoa with performances at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
This is a musical stage performance in the Old West style to warm the heart with the magic of the season.
Tickets are $15, reserved seating, or $27 including a dinner of baked potatoes, chili and all the toppings served in the Cowboy Cafeteria, adjacent to the Hall, 6:30-7:30 p.m. A no-host bar is available in the Town Hall.
