Darlene and Bryan Berry, Carson City residents since 1975, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner today.
Meeting for the first time during a blind date, Bryan and Darlene were wed Dec. 23, 1959, at the Gretna Green Wedding Chapel in Downey, Calif.
They have two children and two grandchildren. Before they retired, Bryan served as a plans examiner for the Nevada State Fire Marshall's Office and Darlene worked as an assistant vice president for U.S. Bank.
Both regularly volunteer at the Nevada State Railroad Museum and for the Nevada State Parks.
