George R. Freeman, 88, passed away Dec. 15, 2009, in Carson City. George was born May 3, 1921, in San Francisco, Calif.
George worked as a carpenter all his life. His passion was his horses and his love of Nevada. While living in South San Francisco, Calif., he was a member of the Horseman's Association. He was also a longtime member of the N.R.A. George served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during WWII.
He will be dearly missed by daughter Nancy S. Willen; sons George R. Freeman III and Richard H. Freeman; grandchildren, Brad Dull, Paul Freeman and Rachel Freeman; and one great-grandson Carlos Capistran.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of his final arrangements.
