Obituary: William "Grandpa Bill" Albert Blosser

Master Gunnery Sgt. William "Grandpa Bill" Albert Blosser, 66, from Dayton, passed away December 7, 2009.

Bill was born December 23, 1942, in Beaver, Okla. He joined the Marine Corps in 1964 and married Lorraine Freeman in October 1968. Together they were winners on "The Newlywed Game" in 1969. Bill was in the USMC for 26-plus years, retiring October 1990.

After the Marine Corps, Bill bred and showed dogs for a while then worked as a yard foreman for Tahoe Fence until Lou Gherig's disease forced him into early retirement.

He loved building things with wood, and everything outdoors.

He was survived by his wife of 41 years, Lorraine; son William Brice Blosser; daughter Drusilla Miller-Burns; daughter-in-law Nicole Tankersley Blosser; grandchildren Ashlee, Ayla, Sahara, Chelsea, Brileigh, Mackenzie and Audrey; brothers Arvil, Carl and Dean; sisters Arlene Blosser and Carol Joanne Linson; and many nieces and nephews.
