Genoa left out in the cold. Tomorrow the telegraph instruments will be removed from the Genoa office, and the wires connected through to Bodie and Aurora. For the first time in nearly twenty years we will be shut down from telegraphic communication from the outside world. Thus we have another forcible reminder of the declining greatness of our town and its steadily decreasing (lack of) business and enterprise " Carson Valley News

Editor Appeal: Three times three cheers for Senator Stewart and the true silver men of Nevada. Three cheers for the Carson Appeal and the reorganized central committee. Three groans for Newlands and his silver traitor boodlers. There will be a day of reckoning with these traitors. Their race is run and the grave is open to receive them.

Reports this morning of hundreds of robins making their appearance in this city, fully a month in advance of their usual return. A number of citizens are wondering where the hungry robins will find something to eat in this snow-blanketed city.

Mr. And Mrs. Bernard Cerocke of Carson are parents of a boy born Jan. 31. He weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces.

If approved, legislators would be required to give up elected titles once they leave office. Under AB46, sponsored by Marvin Sedway, D-Las Vegas said he proposed the bill because many former legislators used old titles in the phone book, on stationery and on license plates.

Julian Larrouy Sr., 94, a worker at the Depot Casino in Fallon was selected from 250 candidates as Nevada's outstanding older worker. Larrouy and his wife operated the Centerville Bar near Minden for many years.
