Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

- A 28-year-old transient was arrested at 10:16 a.m. Friday in the 1400 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony using false identification to avoid prosecution and misdemeanor obstructing an investigation. Bail was set at $5,407.

- A 25-year-old architect from Dayton was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor battery.

- A 41-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 12:46 p.m. Saturday at Sav-Mart on a failure to appear warrant. Bail was set at $10,000.

- Thea Presto, 38, from Gardnerville, was arrested at 7:10 p.m. Saturday at Walmart on suspicion of felony burglary and grand larceny. She allegedly filled a plastic trash bin with $608 in food and walked out. Bail was set at $25,000.

- Elvin Lee Fred, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 8:29 p.m. Sunday at a Carson Street casino on suspicion of gross misdemeanor battery on a peace officer, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and obstructing an investigation.

Bail was set at $4,764.

- James Clifton Harrison, 44, unemployed of Gardnerville, was arrested at 11:36 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of gross misdemeanor battery on a peace officer and misdemeanor interfering with an investigation. Bail was set at $3,632.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:

- A car drove through a fence on Airport Road and the driver left the scene at 4:04 a.m. Sunday.

- Report of a 64-year-old man wearing a fanny pack and "bragging about having a gun" at a Highway 50 East casino at 5:01 a.m.

- Report of tires slashed on Lone Mountain Drive at 10 a.m.

- A man reported at 10:38 a.m. that he thought his neighbor had stolen his uniquely painted taillight on Camille Drive.

- A man called at 11:46 a.m. to report his car had been stolen. When the dispatcher told him the car had been towed for blocking an intersection, the man reportedly began to yell profanities at his girlfriend for parking it there.

- A woman reported at 1:25 p.m. that her husband, who suffers from Alzheimer's, jumped out of her vehicle at Carson and Long streets.

- Four girls were caught shoplifting from Safeway at 3:47 p.m.

- Coroner call in the 3000 block of North Ormsby Boulevard at 4:15 p.m.

- Coroner call at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center at 6:04 p.m.

- A woman reported her husband went out riding his ATV at

1 p.m. and was supposed to be back by 4 p.m. and still hadn't returned by 7:30 p.m. The man was found unhurt at 9:30 p.m.

- Accident at East Fifth and Stewart streets at 7:38 p.m. A

9-year-old boy sustained a bloody nose.

- Fight report at 8:44 p.m. in the 300 block of North Carson Street.


Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:

- Citation at Daytona Casino at 12:24 a.m. for serving alcohol to a minor.

- Citation in Dayton at an unlisted location for serving alcohol to a minor.

- Citation at NV 50 at 1:11 a.m. for serving alcohol to a minor.

- Armed robbery of Pizza Shack in Fernley at 10:38 a.m.

- Battery report on Riverpark Parkway at 1:53 p.m.


Storey County


The following is one of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:

- Arrest on Canyon Way at 5:53 p.m.
