Join comedy classes with Kat Simmons

Guy Rocha presents 'The Azores Islands'

Guy Rocha, former Nevada State Archivist, will present "The Azores Islands of Portugal," 6 p.m, Thursday, Feb. 5 at the Carson City Library Auditorium, 900 N. Roop St. Rocha is of Azorean descent on his father's side of the family history. His grandfather came to the United States from the Azorean Island of Terceira in 1904. Sweetie Pie Dance to be held at museum

Fun Family Dance hosts a Sweetie Pie Dance, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 8, at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St. Bring some pie to share at the break. Bring two pieces or a whole one depending on how many people are attending or bring ice cream. A refrigerator and freezer will be available. Cost is $10 for adults, free or half price for children.
