Reno.com, an entertainment, recreation and travel portal owned by Swift Communications, recently unveiled a completely new look.

First launched in 1994, reno.com is one of the oldest and largest Web sites dedicated to promoting entertainment in the Reno area.

"Whatever visitors and locals are looking for, we can help them," Pete Copeland, publisher of reno.com said. "We know there's a ton of great stuff to do in Reno; now everyone will know it, too."

The new site focuses on giving users all the information they need to plan a great trip to Reno, whether it is who's playing in town this weekend, or where to go for the best margarita, or how much snow their favorite ski resort has just received.

The site launch highlights many new features, including a searchable, robust calendar interface that allows users to save items to a personal itinerary. Users can create profiles, save stories, events, restaurant locations and much more to their personal page, and they can upload photos and videos, interact with communities of interest and potentially become a part of the site with a personal blog.

One of the most innovative new features is an interactive guide to all area attractions, restaurants and more in Reno. Users will be able to choose from such categories as hotels or casinos, parks or bars, restaurants or ski resorts, and create personal maps with the venues they choose.
