Last Sunday John Allan's stage failed to connect from Virginia City to this place until late in the afternoon. The trouble was first with the steamer on Walker Lake, which found waters too rough and had to lay to for several hours, and then again the gorged ice on the Walker River. The devil thinks it was because the stage had to go by way of Pine Grove.

The Dispatch says a petition is being circulated requesting the Legislature to pass an act to bond the town of Wadsworth in the sum of $15,000. The money is to be used in building a brick schoolhouse.
