Covenant Care, based in Aliso Viejo, Calif., has bought Carson Convalescent Center, now renamed Carson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

The center provides nursing services, rehabilitation and hospice care.

Covenant Care was founded in 1994 and has grown to include more than 5,000 employees caring for over 4,000 residents in eight states.

"Our management and staff are excited to be part of the Covenant Care family, and we are looking forward to enhancing our therapy programs and nursing services for our residents," Bud Rieckhoff, facility executive director since 1998, said in a press release.
