There many amazing teachers within the Carson City School District and Carson High School Performing Arts instructor, Karen Chandler, is one of them.

In addition to teaching her students at Carson High School, she also assists the Proscenium Players, Inc., a nonprofit corporation dedicated to presenting quality community theater in Carson City.

Organized in 1965, Proscenium Players is the second oldest continuouslyoperating theater company in Nevada.

The third show of the season at the Brewery Arts Center is "Moonlight and Magnolias," a comedic "semi-true" recounting of legendary producer David O. Selznick's closing down of the production of "Gone with the Wind" to rewrite the script in five days with pals Ben Hecht and Victor Fleming.

That is truly amazing.

The Capital City Community Band will celebrate its 30th concert season with its annual Children's Concert.

Richard and Carol Doede are among so many educators that have continued to contribute to the celebration of music within our schools and community. Teaching goes a long way " it doesn't stop when you leave school. These two have dedicated themselves in continuing to incorporate music in our children's lives and help young musicians from Carson City seek the stars.

Carson Middle School will be holding its annual Technology Night on March 19.

They are actively seeking community participants to help out with extending technology education programs to the students at Carson Middle School to actively get children interested in what is in our community.
