The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce will offer a business success workshop to enhance the skills of business owners. During these challenging economic times, businesses need to be focused on customer service, finances, marketing, employee retention and preparing for economic recovery. Business owners and their employees are invited to sharpen their business skills to ensure business success with these one-hour workshops.
The workshops will take place at the Greater Nevada Credit Union, 555 Hwy 50 East, Dayton. The costs for the workshops are $10 per person for each session. Phoenix Aerospace Inc., of Carson City won a $209,300 contract to supply ground equipment to a major aerospace corporation. The company, a subsidiary of Phoenix International Ventures, now has a backlog of $6.3 million in orders.
Verizon Wireless has added three new cell sites in Northern Nevada. The cell sites expand 3G wireless coverage in:
- Fernley, along Interstate 80 and surrounding area, including city of Wadsworth.
- West Wendover, along Interstate 80 and surrounding area.
- Zephyr Cove, along Highway 50, including Lake Tahoe and surrounding area.
Two Carson-area businesses are holding grand opening events in the next week:
