Wind topples big rig in Washoe Valley

RENO " Gusty wind toppled a big-rig truck in Washoe Valley south of Reno but no serious injuries were reported.

NHP Trooper Chuck Allen said the empty refuse tractor trailer was blown over on Old 395 also known as State Route 249 a mile north of the Bellevue Bridge.

The National Weather Service says strong winds are expected throughout the day, with possible gusts to 65 mph in wind prone areas. The region is under a high wind advisory through this afternoon.
