Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

- Peggy Lynne Nuss, 56, of Pahrump, was arrested at 1:34 p.m. Wednesday in the 3800 block of Highway 50 East on felony warrants for burglary out of Sparks and embezzlement out of Dayton. Bail was set at $12,500.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

- Residential burglary report on Koontz Lane at 10:19 a.m.

- Report at 11:24 a.m. of a man sitting in a vehicle at Nye Lane and Carson Street who appeared to be "huffing something out of a canister." Officers contacted the man and allegedly found him intoxicated from inhaling the chemicals in a can of cleaner. He was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

- Report of a large fight among juveniles at Sonoma Park at 12:56 p.m.

- Report of juveniles trying to get into a closed business on Corbett Street at 10:53 p.m.

- A man reported working on Carson Street reported at 11:26 p.m. the tires on his vehicle were slashed.


Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

- Arrest on Highway 50 East in Mound House at 12:31 a.m.

- Coroner call on Panavista Circle in Mason Valley at 3:05 p.m.

- Coroner call at a Main Street motel in Fernley at 6:48 p.m.
