The Fallon Police Department reported no luck in finding a hit-and-run driver who killed a woman last week.

The FPD had some additional information on Wednesday afternoon on a hit-and-run driver and the vehicle that killed a 68-year-old Fallon woman. Shirley Kraai, who was on the sidewalk on Williams Avenue at Smedley's Chevron when struck, died at the scene where the accident occurred.

The FPD released composite pictures of what the truck may look like in hopes someone will be able to spot it.

The vehicle is described as a white Chevrolet pickup truck with "CHEVROLET" in text on the tailgate.

A possible Nevada license plate number similar to 170-PAX was reported, but it did not match the reported vehicle.

Dispatchers are running numerous combinations and have come up with similar vehicles bearing similar plate number configurations that officers are now checking.

The Fallon Police Department reported a vehicle was traveling west on Williams Avenue when it turned across the eastbound lanes to enter the Chevron gas station.

The vehicle struck Kraai. The vehicle exited the rear of the station onto Kaiser Street and then turned west toward Allen Road. The driver then fled the scene.

Kraai suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The Churchill County Sheriff Office and the Nevada Highway Patrol are assisting in the investigation.

The Nevada Highway Patrol Major Accident Team responded to the accident.

The FPD is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone knows a person owning a white Chevrolet pickup truck that has not been driven since the accident or has recent front end or side damage, the Fallon Police Department seeks information at 775-423-2111.

Secret Witness is also offering a $1,500 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the hit-and-run driver. Secret Witness can be contacted at 322-4900. Callers may remain anonymous when collecting the cash reward.
