Hertha Eleanor Williams, 77, a 14-year Gardnerville resident, died January 2, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital, Reno. She was born Nov. 30, 1931 in Varnamo, Sweden. Among her survivors are sons James Jr. and Dean Williams; daughters-in-law Valen and Andrea Williams; grandchildren, Justin (Haley), Christopher and Lindsay Reimers, Hayley, Madison and Nicolas Williams; great granddaughter Lilly Reimers and mother-in-law Marion Mahan. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. A reception will immediately follow. FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
