Vernon W. Hurst

Vernon W. Hurst, 79, a 17-year resident of Silver Springs, died Jan. 20, 2009. He was born March 19, 1929 to Wilford and Maggie Hurst in Ogden, Utah. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Among his survivors are wife Sandra Hurst; sons Vernon W. Hurst Jr., Ralph and David Hurst; daughters Tammie Benesch, Leandra Villarreal and Janette Donis, 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Sunday at Silver Springs Christian Center, Pastor Kay Mosley officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.Capitol Cremation & Burial is in charge of arrangements.
