VIRGINIA CITY 56, SIERRA LUTHERAN 44

Zach Shell exploded for 31 points as the Muckers improved to 5-2 in league. Colt Dotson and Joe Avignone each popped in eight points for Virginia City.

FERNLEY 61, YERINGTON 60

Tyler Crowl scored 28 points for Yerington in Friday's loss, which dropped the Lions to 13-9 overall, 6-4 in league. Crowl was 4-for-5 from the free throw line and hit two 3-pointers.

CARSON FROSH 70, SOUTH TAHOE 31

Brock Pradere scored a team-high 11 points as Carson improved to 1-5 overall and 5-3 in the Sierra League. The Senators also got 10 points from Max Keller, nine from Nate Landes and eight from Nate Brown.

GIRLS

CARSON JV 56, SOUTH TAHOE 38

Eliza Matley scored a team-high 14 points to lead Carson, which improved to 17-4 overall and 7-1 in the Sierra League. Natalie Morrow contributed 12 points and Kendra Krupp chipped in seven for the Senators.

CARSON FROSH 51, SOUTH TAHOE 8

The Lady Senators defeated South Tahoe with a dominating performance at both ends of the court. Lisa Rogers dished out three assists to lead Carson and Salena Ghostbear and Taya Rains each had six rebounds. 

Carson remained in first place at 8-0 in the Sierra League and 21-1 overall.
