Searchers are looking for a six-year-old boy who was reported missing from his campsite at Lake Lahontan Saturday afternoon.
The boy was reported to have left his campsite at Beach 3 sometime around 1:30 p.m. and hasn't been seen since, according to Lyon County Undersheriff Joe Sanford.
A thrid party reported a Ford van was in the area driven by a suspected sex offender, but Sanford said that reports appears not to be accurate.
"We dont' have any reason to believe we have any type of abduction," Sanford said. "We aren't certain what we have yet, but we are certainly following up on everything we have."
Search and rescue teams from Lyon and Churchill counties have joined the search.
No other information was available at this time.
