Children of all ages are invited to the Capital Baptist Church Vacation Bible School next week.

The school is 6-9 p.m. Monday-Friday.

July 11, the church will host an open house, barbecue and commencement starting at 10 a.m.

Students ages kindergarten and older are invited on the "Boomerang Express" to the land down under - Australia. Where, there too, they'll learn, "It all comes back to Jesus."

The First United Methodist Church of Carson City will host a Vacation Bible School July 13-17. Check-in is 8:30 a.m. Monday. The school runs 8:50 a.m.-noon Tuesday-Friday.

Children aged 4 years through sixth grade are invited to Wildwood Forest to "Explore the Untamed Nature of God" and journey through a world filled with secret caves, special hideaways and surprises as they discover that God's character and love go beyond imagination.

Children are encouraged to bring a daily offering to donate to the Heifer Project International, which purchases farm animals such as chickens, rabbits, goats and an occasional cow for people in countries all around the world.

Registrations are being accepted for St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community's evening Vacation Bible School.

Sonshine Summer Vacation Bible School explores "God's Word" for children grades kindergarten through fifth. The program is 5:30-8:30 p.m. July 20-24.
