Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Thomas Joseph Guerena Jr., 45, of Carson City, was arrested Friday at 12:24 p.m. in the 200 block of Stewart for felony uttering a forged instrument. Guerena allegedly tried to cash a check that had a stop payment placed on it. Bail was set at $7,500.

• A 30-year-old state worker from Carson City was arrested Saturday at 12:34 a.m. at Division and 5th streets for misdemeanor DUI first offense, and failure to maintain lane. A citizen reported a possible drunk driver in a truck had hit a parked car. A preliminary breath test of the subject found he had a blood alcohol level of .172. Bail was set at $1,239.

• A 70-year-old Carson City woman was transferred to Carson City Jail from Storey County Friday at 6 p.m. on misdemeanor warrants for criminal contempt and violating a protective order. Bail was set at $4,000.

• Two Carson City men were arrested Friday at 3:44 p.m. at Spear and Carson streets for being drunken pedestrians. A bartender reported overhearing the men talking about a gun. When confronted by officers, the men said they were talking about how they would like to drown politicians. Both men appeared intoxicated and became uncooperative. One man, a 54-year-old engineer, had an outstanding failure to appear warrant. His bail was set at $654. His 58-year-old friend's bail was set at $67.

• A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday at 10:05 a.m. in the 300 block of South Carson Street for misdemeanor disorderly conduct, violating a suspended sentence, and probation violation. The subject, who had been released from jail earlier that morning, entered a business and began yelling at the employees and customers, and interrupted the filming of a local television show. Bail was set at $4,237.
