Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

- Micah David Leval, 21, an inmate in the Carson City Jail, was arrested Friday night for felony battery on a prisoner. An inmate in a nearby cell reported to guards that two inmates were fighting. After breaking up the fight, guards questioned the inmates and examined wounds on both men, and determined that Leval was the aggressor. Bail was set at $25,000.

- Brook Allan Kelley, 18, a student from Minden, was arrested early Saturday morning in the 200 block of Harbin for felony probation violation, and misdemeanor battery, tresspassing and minor consuming alcohol. A citizen reported he heard Kelley and a woman arguing and making loud noises near his residence. After being asked to keep the noise down, Kelley reportedly threatened the other man, and later attacked him in his yard. The man was able to hold the suspect until deputies arrived. A records check found Kelley was on probation with a no-alcohol clause. A preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol level of .14. Kelley was held without bail on the probation violation.

- Austin Bitisillie, 19, was arrested in the 200 block of Harbin on Saturday morning for battery on a peace officer (gross misdemeanor), plus misdemeanor charges of obstructing a peace officer and destruction of property. Responding to a report of somone possibly with a weapon, a bystander pointed deputies to an area where someone was hiding behind a Dumpster. After approaching the person, deputies reported the man tried to run but fell down. The susptect reportedly hit one deputy several times and continued to resist officers as he was handcuffed and placed in a patrol car. Bail was set at $4,264.

- Christobal Danny Ornelas, 26, of Carson City, was arrested Friday evening in the 100 block of College Parkway on a felony fugitive from justice warrant out of California. A deputy noticed a man sitting in a parked vehicle apparently tampering with the stereo. A records check returned the no-bail warrant.

- Jared William Smith, no age given, of San Francisco, was arrested Friday evening in the 2000 block of North Carson Street on a felony probation violation warrant and misdemeanor petit larceny. The subject was detained by store security for leaving without paying for a bottle of laundry detergent and a bottle of bleach. He claimed he had purchased the items the night before and and left the store without taking them. A records check found the felony warrant for probation violation. He was held without bail.

- A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday morning in the 3800 block of Imperial Way for misdemeanor domestic battery. Subject was accused of grabbing and pushing his girlfriend during an argument. Bail was set at $3,132.

- A 19-year-old Gardnerville woman was arrested early Saturday morning for misdemeanor DUI first offense, reckless driving, driving with an open container of alcohol, minor consuming alcohol, not in possession of drivers license and failure to maintain lane of travel. Deputy observed subject's vehicle spinning in circles in the intersection of Curry and Musser streets, driving over curbs and exceeding the speed limit. When contacted, subject was alone in the vehicle and had a strong smell of alcohol. A preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol level of .24. While doing an inventory of the vehicle, an open can of beer was found. Bail was set at $2,347.

- A 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Friday morning in the 1800 block of Long Street for misdemeanor violation of alternative sentencing and possession of drug paraphernailia. Her bail was set at $3,732. A 32-year-old man was arrested at the same time for misdemeanor probation violation. His bail was set at $3,000. Investigating a report of domestic battery, deputies found the subjects in a room with several open alcohol containers and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were on probation, and subject to no-alcohol clauses. Preliminary breath tests showed both were substantially over the legal limit for operating a motor vehicle.

- A 21-year-old restarant worker from Carson City was arrested Friday night in the 1400 block of Long Street for two misdemeanor failure to appear warrants. While investigating a possible sexual assault (that was determined to be unfounded), the location of a subject wanted on two warrants was discovered. Bail was set at $3,095.

- An 18-year-old carpet cleaner from Carson City was arrested Friday night on Emerson Street by the Highway 395 overpass for misdemeanor obstructing and a minor consuming alcohol. A deputy spotted to subjects riding bicycles with no lights and contacted the riders. The deputy noticed a large bulge in the subject's pocket, which turned out to be two cans of beer. The subject originally gave officers a false name and birthdate, saying he was 21. But the date he gave made him only 20 years old. The subject then told officers his real name and age. Bail was set at $644.
