RENO, - Authorities have canceled an Amber Alert in Nevada for a mother suspected of abducting her four young children after she failed to show up for a custody meeting with social service officials.

Washoe County investigators in Reno say they believe Claire Tourand may be headed for Mexico with her children and are no longer in northern Nevada.

Washoe County sheriff's spokeswoman Brooke Keast says investigators are receiving numerous leads from Southern California. She says Tourand may be driving a white 1998 Mercury Sable, with Nevada license plate 369 SDH.

An arrest warrant was issued Saturday for the 34-year-old Tourand. The children -Ivan, Jakelyne, Megan and Tyson Mata-Martinez- are aged 9 to 4.
