Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Tommy Jay Thompson, 42, of Gardnerville, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of felony embezzlement and obtaining money under false pretenses. Bail was set at $25,000.

• Kelly Davis, 22, of Carson City, was arrested at 11:11 p.m. Wednesday on Brunswick Canyon Road on suspicion of felony probation violation, possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. No bail was set. Also arrested was Daryl Martin, 27, on suspicion of possession of heroin and probation violation. Bail was set at $5,500.

• Robert Patrick Ryan, 52, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of Robinson Street on suspicion of felony possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, gross misdemeanor child abuse and two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery. He allegedly beat and choked into unconsciousness his 14-year-old stepson and battered his wife. Bail was set at $11,264.

• Pamela Sanford-Taylor, 49, unemployed of Carson City, surrendered to authorities at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of East Musser Street on a warrant for suspicion of felony theft. She was booked and released.

• A 29-year-old consultant from Carson City was arrested Wednesday at 12:29 p.m. on Goni Road on suspicion of misdemeanor second-offense driving under the influence and violation of probation. Bail was set at $5,500.

• A 27-year-old tile setter from Carson City was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday on Tiger Drive for allegedly violating a temporary protective order for the second time, and violation of bail conditions. Bail was set at $6,132.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Report of a purse stolen from a vehicle at Chimney Beach at 4:51 p.m. The purse was later found on Curry Street in Carson, and returned to the owner.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Vehicle burglary report on Cheyenne Trail in Stagecoach at 9:47 a.m.

• Misdemeanor arrests on B Street in Fernley at 3:25 p.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest on Frontage Road in Mark Twain at 4:06 p.m.

• Fraud report on Cruden Bay in Dayton at 5:43 p.m.

• Residential burglary report on Lois Lane in Fernley at 8:54 p.m.
