Frank Joseph Morganti was born August 16, 1922, in Oakland, Calif., to Gino and Nonziatina Morganti and died July 3, 2009. He served in the U.S. Army in both Europe and the Pacific during World War II. He raised his family in Oakland until he and his wife, Florence, moved to Carson City in the late 1970s. Frank volunteered at the senior center while Flo worked at JCPenney's until her retirement. Frank was preceded in death by Florence and by their daughter Nancy. He is survived by their son Frank (Sabina); his grandchildren Allen Morganti (Jennifer) and Felicia Schweller (Mark); great-grandchildren Reyna Morganti and Alyssa Schweller; and sisters Gina Franco and Dora McMahon and their families.
