Clarence Edward Sumner, 86, a seven year resident of Gardnerville, died May 28, 2009. He was born July 24, 1922 to Frank Moreno and Edna Anderson Moreno in San Luis Obispo, Calif. His wife Margaret Harris Sumner and brothers Jack and Richard Sumner preceded him in death. Among his survivors are daughters and sons-in-law Susan and Mike Robinson of Carlsbad, Calif., Jeanne and Ron Todd of San Jose, Calif., and Diane and Michael Pollock of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A rosary will be at noon, Friday with memorial services to follow at 12:30 p.m. at St. Gall Catholic Church, Gardnerville. Inurnment will be 11 a.m., Friday, July 24, 2009.
