Winona "Micky" Miller, 94, went home to be with her Lord on July 17, 2009. Raised in Iowa, she married her high school sweetheart, Woodrow Miller, in 1936. They moved from southern California in 1970 and made Carson City their home. Micky was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Carson City and a former Bible Study Fellowship leader. She was also a member of PEO Chapter X. Her joyful spirit touched everyone she met. Her husband, son Larry Miller, and two great-grandchildren preceded her to heaven. She is survived by a family that loved her dearly, including daughter Sheryl Lyons (Richard); nine grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. A celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2009, at Walton's Funeral Home in Carson City.
