ALWAYS LOST ART SHOW

This local art show being displayed at Western Nevada College Gallery is one I would recommend you take the time to go see. I was inspired by the faces of 4,000 American Service members who have died serving in Iraq. The unique display of photos, facts, poems and the title for this tremendous gallery show, "Always Lost" comes from a Gertrude Stein quotation about conflict: "War is never fatal but always lost, Always Lost." This space has been transformed into a contemplation of emotion from those that have seen soldiers in the trenches first hand.

WHAT: Always Lost Art Show

WHO: The exhibit is the result of collaboration between WNC creative writing and sociology students, who combined dozens of personal essays with hundreds of photographs and a series of statistics about the Iraq conflict

WHERE: The College Gallery is located in Western Nevada College's Bristlecone Building

WHEN: 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday
