Ann Catherine Hettrick passed away peacefully of congestive heart failure on July 21, 2009, in her home in Boise, Idaho. She was born April 2, 1916, to Elizabeth and Jacob Bleizeffer in Havlock, N.D. She moved to Sacramento and married William Hettrick, with whom she shared 59 very happy years.

Ann retired from Norte Del Rio High School, where she managed the cafeteria for 21 years. She did charity work for Father Madigan at the Sacramento food and clothes locker from 1987- 2004.

She leaves behind her three sons, Don and his wife Nancy, Jim his wife Jackie, and Robert; brother John Bleizeffer; three grandsons, Stephen and his wife Jill, Brent and Tracee; three great-grandchildren Stevie, Lindsay and Kyle; and all of her nieces and nephews and their families. She joins her husband William, parents and five brothers and sisters, who preceded her.

We will always love and remember the "Lovely Lady of Lily Street," her holiday turkeys, chocolate chip cookies and her quiet strength.

Services for the immediate family will be at 1 p.m., Aug. 3 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community in Carson City. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to or volunteer for you favorite charity.
