Obituary: Earl Odiose Ouellette

Earl Odiose Ouellette, 86, of Carson City passed away in peace May 26, 2009 at his home. Earl was born on September 23, 1922 in Nashua, NH to Odiose and Florida Ouellette. He married Lucille Wright in March 1944.

Earl had two distinguished careers. First he served his country in the United States Navy as a Chief Machinist Mate 1941-1963. His second career was as a draftsman for the State of Nevada D.O.T. 1963-1982.

Earl loved his family and enjoyed the great outdoors camping, fishing, pine nut hunting, and traveling. He was a huge Boston Red Sox fan. He was a very talented craftsman making many beautiful treasures for family and friends out of wood.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents Odiose and Florida (Duchesneau) Ouellette, his loving wife Lucille (Wright) Ouellette and his two wonderful sisters Lucille T. Ouellette and Claire J. (Ouellette) Magno.

Earl is survived by his son Robert E. Ouellette and his wife Karen, grandson Keith Ouellette and his wife Lisa, granddaughter Shawna Barnes and her husband Bruce all of Carson City and several great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

There will be a celebration of his life 11 a.m., Saturday at his residence. In lieu of flowers please send a donation in Earl's memory to Saint Mary's Hospice 18653 Wedge Parkway Reno, NV 89511.
